I ate 'stinky tofu' this past weekend. The smell and taste were interesting. The smell wasn't as strong as it normally is (most likely not comparible to the stench at H.K. street vendor carts), probably in case restaurant goers were not used to the smell. The taste was exactly how it smelled.. BLECH.. but at least I can say I tried it!

In other news, Carlos got married late June at Disneyland. Fortunately he is not my favorite Il Divo, but he is my favorite voice.

The tofu taste was exactly how it smelled? eew...so most people are trying to trick me when they say it tastes nothing like what it smells like.

YES, the tofu tastes EXACTLY the way it smells. I don't know about the stronger ones in HK, Taiwan, etc., but I think people also load a lot of chinese hot sauce/chili on it, so that might help cover the yucky taste. :D I don't know how much chili sauce you need to cover a smell that lingers blocks though..
