My brother was laughing really hard to himself, and I thought he was going crazy, but he explained why he was laughing. He said, "My friend is a juvenile offender." I thought to myself, since when is that a laughing matter? Then he explained that his friend, a 4.0 student (and she seems like a good kid) got a ticket for not wearing her bike helmet (while riding her bike). Poor girl; she must have been scared. Then she had to go to court for it. Then we started laughing together about what could have happened (but did not - I had to clarify that because a reader thought this girl was evading the police after he read my blog. HAHAHA.):
She was riding on her bike when a cop car pulled up behind her and said through the speaker: Stop the vehicle now. Put your hands up where we can see them.
As soon as she spotted the cop, she started pedaling away quickly and a chase pursued.
When she looks for a job, she'll have to fill out the part that asks if she has a criminal past.
Lucky for her that the charges were dismissed. The cop didn't show up. Anyway, wear your helmets, kid. It's a safety issue. Also, you could get a ticket and become an offender. Hehehe.
